Dear GreenNet,

The 'Kang-Chulgu' affair coalition against sexual violences formed on 9 March, 2001. Kang-Chulgu, who is the vice president of KBS labor union (KBS is one of the biggest Broadcasting Systems in Korea), made sexual attacks on two of his colleagues several years ago. The attacks were pointed out many times by several activists, including the injured women, but the KBS labor union hasn't taken action yet. Besides, Kang-Chulgu sued the injured women and the 100 person committee which supports the victims, for libel. The case is under examination now. In response to this, 21 social movement groups formed the 'Kang-Chulgu' affair coalition against sexual violences. We are taking several actions hoping that the Kang-Chulgu affair is solved in an appropriate and timely manner.

Our homepage is now hosted by the Korean Progressive Network 'Jinbonet', which is a Progressive Internet Service Provider in Korea. But Kang-Chulgu applied for provisional injunction of this homepage against Jinbonet. We are very sorry for that and dicided to move our homepage to foreign countries to avoid unnecessary legal dispute.

GreenNet has fought for social justice and human rights. We ask that you support our actions by hosting our homepage. Thank you.

In Solidarity,

The 'Kang-Chulgu' affair Coalition Against sexual violences
